How We Rate

Every site gets scored on seven things, weighted, and given one Soho Rating out of five. Here's the full method so you can check our work.

The seven categories

  1. Bonus (25%). The size of the welcome offer matters less than the fine print. We score for wagering, game weighting, max bet rules, and whether the promo on the banner is the one that actually clears.
  2. Odds (20%). For sportsbook sites, actual price on a benchmark basket. For slots-first sites, game-level RTP integrity.
  3. Payments (15%). Deposit and withdrawal speed, reliability, and how many chains they support. Tested live on at least two chains.
  4. Variety (15%). Depth and quality of slots, live tables, specialty games.
  5. Platform (10%). How the site feels. Mobile. Friction. Does it work at 2am.
  6. Live (10%). Live dealer and game-show quality and depth.
  7. Support (5%). How fast and how useful support is at awkward hours. Chat and email.

The test cycle

Each site goes through four weeks, minimum.

  • Week one. Sign up, KYC if required, play through the welcome offer, document everything from first click to first withdrawal.
  • Weeks two and three. Normal play. Slots, live tables, sportsbook if offered. One withdrawal per week at different hours.
  • Week four. Support tests. 3am queries, complaint-level stuff, resolution time.

Quarterly re-test

Every site gets re-scored every 90 days. Drop 0.3 points and you get a note on the file. Two quarters sliding and you risk getting dropped from the list.
